The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, has reaffirmed his commitment to service, development, and community engagement through a series of official activities.
The days events commenced with the Council’s support for the Muslim Refresher Lesson Program through a donation of ₦500,000. In addition, the Rt. Hon. Speaker fulfilled his earlier pledge of ₦1,000,000, which he made during the recent sendforth ceremony.
A statement signed by the special adviser/ chief press secretary to the chairman Zaria local government, Ishaq Galadima said the Chairman also extended financial support to several individuals in need, presenting the assistance on behalf of the Speaker.
The Chairman also received the Danmagaji Market Izala Mosque Committee, led by Malam Abdullahi Alkali, where discussions centered on community development initiatives.
Later in the day, some elders from the Wusasa Community visited the Chairman to convey their appreciation, on behalf of the Rt. Hon. Speaker, for facilitating three appointments for their children at the Federal Medical Centre, Taraba.
Similarly, the Unguwar Zaria Youth Development and Awareness Forum paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, followed by the INAA-MAFITA AL’UMMAH Forum, led by Malam Bashir Basharata.
Both groups commended the modest support extended to their association and to orphanages across Zaria. In recognition of these efforts, they presented the Chairman with an award of appreciation.
In the evening, the Vice Chairman represented the Executive Chairman during a series of condolence visits. These included the family of the late Sarkin Fawan Zazzau at Unguwar Kwan Namallam, Kaura; the family of Malam Habibu of Kwan Namallam over the passing of his father; and Abdullahi Muhammad, Secretary of the APC PU Forum, Kwarbai B Ward, who lost his son, Muhammad Abdullahi, at Unguwar Rimin Tsiwa, Kwarbai B Ward.
Through these engagements, the Chairman continues to demonstrate responsive leadership and an unwavering dedication to fostering unity, development, and progress across Zaria Local Government.
