The Zamfara state Acting Governor, Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi, has presented a new bus to the Zamfara State Online Television Owners Association to enhance their daily operations and facilitate effective news coverage across the state.
Presenting the vehicle on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, the Deputy Governor urged members of the association to carry out their duties with truthfulness, fairness, and professionalism, while avoiding defamation or any act that undermines the dignity of the public.
This was contained in a statement signed by the chief press secretary office of the Deputy Governor, Shehu Adamu Gusau issued to newsmen.
It said Mal Mummuni further encouraged the association to promote the positive developmental efforts of the Zamfara State Government sincerely and responsibly, while also drawing the government’s attention to areas that may require improvement for the benefit of the people.
He offered prayers for God’s blessings upon the association and expressed hope that the new vehicle would serve them effectively.
He also cautioned them against tarnishing the image of the government without valid reasons.
In his vote of thanks, the Chairman of the Association, Abdulmalik Saidu Maibiredi, expressed gratitude to the Zamfara State Government under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal and Deputy Governor Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi for their continued support.
He assured the government that the association remains committed to operating within the law while safeguarding and projecting the activities of the state government responsibly.
Present at the handover ceremony were the Secretary to the State Government, Mallam Abubakar Nakwada Gusau, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi, and other distinguished members of the public.
