The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has confirmed the successful recovery of a stolen vehicle, a Toyota Carina E, in Ikot Ekpene.
On Monday, August 5, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, Operatives of the Command recovered a coffee brown Toyota Carina E with registration number UYY 351 DA along Aba Road, opposite the former SUA Hotel in Ikot Ekpene.
The vehicle is suspected to be one of the cars stolen recently from the premises of a Hospital in Uyo. The suspect, upon noticing the police presence, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSPTimfon John said Efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspect. The police urges members of the public for any information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest.
