* Pledges Support to Strengthen and Preserve Its Image
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has met with members of the Katsina Business Community as part of efforts to deepen collaboration between the government and the private sector toward boosting economic growth in the state.
A statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Governor said the delegation was led by its chairman, Alhaji Aminu Wali, Chief Executive Officer of AA Rahamawa Petroleum, alongside the CEO of Danmarana Petroleum, Alhaji Dahiru Usman Sarki, and other prominent businessmen from across the state.
They paid a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House, Katsina.
In his remarks, Governor Radda commended the association for its role in promoting economic development and empowering local communities across the state.
“The business community remains a critical partner in our drive to build a strong and resilient economy. Your investments, innovations, and commitment to the people of Katsina are helping to create jobs and opportunities across the state,” the governor said.
He stressed that his administration places strong emphasis on private-sector participation as a key driver of development.
“We believe that sustainable growth can only be achieved when government and the private sector work hand in hand.
Our policies are designed to remove obstacles, create a business-friendly environment, and encourage investment in all sectors of the economy,” Governor Radda stated.
The governor urged small and medium enterprises within the association to take advantage of the interest-free loan scheme being implemented by the Katsina State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (KASEDA).
“Our administration has created targeted programmes to support entrepreneurs and expand access to finance. I encourage you to utilise these opportunities to grow your businesses, create employment, and contribute to the prosperity of our state,” he added.
Governor Radda also assured the business community of his administration’s continued commitment to policies and initiatives that would strengthen the private sector, preserve the association’s image, and accelerate economic development across Katsina State.
Earlier, the chairman of the association, Alhaji Aminu Wali, highlighted the group’s contributions to the political, social, and economic development of the state.“We have always supported initiatives that improve the welfare of our people.
The Katsina business community is ready to continue working with your administration to drive sustainable development across the state,” he said.
Also speaking, the proprietor of WAPA Group, Alhaji Lawal Ladan Wapa, assured the governor of the association’s full support.“We stand firmly behind your leadership and programmes.
We pray for your continued good health, wisdom, and success in delivering on your mandate,” he stated.Representatives of several associations under the aegis of the group also extended goodwill messages to governor Radda.
The meeting was attended by the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Fadila Mohammed Dikko; Shamsu Sule Funtua, Board member of the North-West Development Commission; and members of the Katsina State Executive Council.
