The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has officially received the screening committee tasked with overseeing the 2026 Nigeria Police Force recruitment exercise for Police Constables in the State.
The high-level delegation comprises key stakeholders from the Nigeria Police Force, the Police Service Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), and the Federal Character Commission, among other relevant bodies
.A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said the physical screening exercise for successful online applicants who are indigenes of Akwa Ibom State is scheduled to commence today, Monday, March 9, 2026, and will run through April 18, 2026.
Speaking during the visit, the Head of Delegation and Team Leader, DCP Ime Udofia, assured the public that the exercise would be conducted in a free, fair, credible, and transparent manner.
He emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and strongly warned applicants to beware of individuals or groups attempting to extort money under false pretenses.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful exercise.
He pledged full logistical and security support to the committee to guarantee a hitch-free process from start to finish.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command therefore urges all shortlisted candidates to maintain orderly conduct and strictly adhere to the guidelines and schedules published for the screening exercise.
