The Chairman, Zaria Local Government Council, on behalf of the Government and people of the Local Government Area, extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Bambale Community, and the entire Zazzau Emirate over the passing of Alhaji Abubakar Hayyat Bambale, the Sarkin Sudan of Zazzau.
The revered traditional leader passed away earlier today at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria, following a brief illness.
He is survived by his wives, children, and grandchildren, among whom is Malam Yusuf Abubakar Hayyat, the Magatakardan Zazzau and Council Secretary, Zazzau Emirate.
The Chairman describes the late Sarkin Sudan as a committed and selfless leader who devoted his life to the service of his people.
He was a respected elder of Zaria Local Government Area and a prominent leader of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), whose contributions to community development and political growth will be fondly remembered.
