Akwa Ibom State,operatives of the state police command have arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary and stealing incident at a certain hotel (name withheld) located at Afaha Eket Road, Eket LGA.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:00PM of July 25, 2025, a security officer of the hotel reported to the police station that the hotel’s storehouse had been broken into and several newly acquired bar chairs were stolen by an unknown individual(s).
An immediate inquiry pointed towards Mr. Ifeanyi Nnadozie, a security staff member at the hotel, as the alleged perpetrator. Operatives promptly arrested Mr. Nnadozie.
Investigation revealed that Mr. Nnadozie was on duty the day before the storehouse was burgled. A search conducted at his residence and premises led to the recovery of the stolen bar chairs. Mr. Nnadozie has since confessed to the crime.
The command public relations officer DSP Timfot John who confirmed the arrest of the suspect in a statement, said the suspect Will soon be charged to court.
