Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Hajiya Khadija, wife of his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Hon. Abubakar Aminu Musa, who passed away yesterday after a brief illness.
A statement signed by Ismaila Uba Misili DG press affairs Gombe State government house said Governor Inuwa Yahaya sent a high-powered government delegation to attend the funeral prayer held earlier today in Herwagana.
The delegation was led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and included the Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, the Head of Civil Service, Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, Commissioners, top government officials, and other senior aides.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described her death as a painful loss, not only to her immediate family but also to all who knew her for her humility and exemplary conduct.
He said the late Hajiya Khadija lived a life of compassion and commitment to family values.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya consoled Hon. Abubakar Aminu Musa and members of the bereaved family, urging them to find comfort in the exemplary life of the deceased and to draw strength from faith during this difficult period.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, envelop her and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
