At the directive of the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, the Vice Chairman, Gwani Sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar Abba, represented the Council at the August 2025 Technical Session of the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC).
The meeting, chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, took place at the Senator Uba Sani Conference Hall, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna.

It said the meeting was attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Mahmud Lawal, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry; Hon. Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi, Special Adviser on Local Government; Hon. Usman Lado Dan Daura, SSA on Local Government; all 23 LG Chairmen; directors of finance and budget; as well as representatives from the Office of the Accountant General, FPO, and other oversight bodies.
The session emphasized financial discipline, people-centered budgeting, and strategic resource management in line with the vision of Governor Uba Sani, who continues to promote transparency, fiscal responsibility, and inclusive governance.
