The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council this Saturday accompanied His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, CON, to the commissioning of strategic road infrastructure projects in Zaria, as part of the state government’s ongoing commitment to inclusive development and improved urban mobility.
The commissioned projects include the asphaltic township road from Magajiya Junction to Kasuwan Amaru, with connecting links to the Unguwan Liman/Albarkawa axis, as well as the Audi–Kako asphaltic road.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary office of the Chairman,Ishaq Galadima said These interventions are expected to enhance road safety, ease traffic flow, and boost commercial and social activities across the affected communities.
Since the inception of the present administration in 2023, the Kaduna State Government has embarked on 140 road projects covering over 1,335 kilometres, with 66 roads already completed and opened for public use.
The Chairman commended His Excellency for his purposeful leadership and consistent investment in infrastructure development across the state.
Earlier in the day, the Chairman undertook an inspection of ongoing roads and bridges projects within Zaria Local Government Area.
The projects inspected include the Kufena Tsallaken Dogo road, the Kusfa Bridge linking Magajiya and Nagoyi, and the Kofar Doka Flyover Bridge facilitated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON (Iyan Zazzau).
These projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity and reduce transportation challenges for residents.I
n the evening, the Chairman hosted the Grand Launch of Sardaunan Ikulu Fans, an APC support group, at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat.
The event, sponsored by Alhaji Ismail Ashafa, Sardaunan Ikulu, provided an opportunity for political mobilisation, unity, and renewed commitment to supporting the policies and programmes of the APC-led administration.
The Chairman reaffirmed the readiness of Zaria Local Government Council to continue working in synergy with the Kaduna State Government and relevant stakeholders to ensure the delivery of people-oriented projects and sustainable development at the grassroots level.
