Zamfara UBEB Flags Off Construction of New Mega School in Gusau.

The Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Professor Nasir Garba Anka has officially handed over the construction site to a Construction Company for the commencement of work on a new Mega School at Hayin Buba area of Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Professor Anka described the project as a significant milestone in the effort to enhance access to quality basic education in the state.

He noted that the initiative reflects the commitment of Governor Dauda Lawal, under the Rescue Mission Agenda, to revitalize the education sector through infrastructure development and the provision of modern learning facilities.

Professor Anka explained that the construction of the new Mega School would help decongest existing schools, provide a more conducive learning environment, and expand educational opportunities for children within Gusau metropolis and its environs.

He commended Governor Dauda Lawal for his continuous investment in the education sector and assured that ZSUBEB would uphold transparency, accountability, and strict supervision to ensure the successful and quality execution of the project.

The Chairman also urged the contractor, to adhere strictly to the approved project specifications, quality standards, and completion timelines. He emphasized that the success of the project would directly benefit the people and contribute meaningfully to the overall development of the state.

In his response, the representative of the Construction Company, appreciated the state government’s confidence in the firm and pledged to deliver the project according to specifications and within the stipulated timeframe.

In a statement by issued to newmen by Ibrahim Maizare, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB) explained that, Professor Anka led a delegation of senior government officials, including representatives from the Office of the State Surveyor General, Permanent Members of the Board, and Directors from various departments of ZSUBEB.
