The Zamfara State Government is set for the official launch of newly acquired Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) alongside the unveiling of a state-of-the-art Surveillance Drones Architecture, as part of deliberate efforts to strengthen security and enhance public safety across the state.
A statement signed by the DG Media and communication Nuhu Sailhu Anka said the landmark security event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, at the Government House, Gusau, with proceedings set to commence at 10:30 a.m.
The ceremony will be led by Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, and hosted by the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, under whose leadership the security assets were procured.
The initiative reflects the Zamfara State Government’s firm commitment to enhancing internal security, protecting lives and property, and leveraging modern technology to effectively address security challenges confronting the state.
Expected to attend the event are members of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Commissioners, the Chief Judge of the State, Special Advisers, Traditional and Religious Leaders, Political Leaders, members of the PDP State Executive Council, Heads of Extra-Ministerial Departments and Agencies, as well as Heads of Security and Federal Agencies operating within the state.
The Government of Zamfara State reiterates its resolve to continue investing in strategic security infrastructure to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development across the state.
