The Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA),has officially commenced its 2026 Capacity Building Workshop on Manual Wargaming at HQ TRADOC NA Auditorium in Minna Military Cantonment, Niger State.
This was contained in a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Felicia Daniel acting deputy director army public relations, training and doctrine command,Nigerian army made available to newsmen.
It said that this year’s workshop, nicknamed Exercise GAFILI GADOKI III, aimed at enhancing tactical commanders’ operational proficiency and decision-making skills, is themed “Consolidating Tactical Commanders’ Proficiency on Manual Wargaming for Effective Decision-Making Process in the Nigerian Army Training and Operations within a Joint Environment”.
In his opening remarks, the Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Peter Malla, emphasised the workshop’s importance in strengthening training methodologies and operational capabilities, in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) Command Philosophy which is “To Advance the Transformation of the Nigerian Army into a More Professional, Adaptable, Combat-Ready and Resilient Force Capable of Decisively Discharging its Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment”.
Major General Malla expressed his profound appreciation to the COAS, Lt Gen W Shaibu (Nigerian Army Medal), for his unwavering support and visionary leadership which continues to drive the ongoing transformation of the Nigerian Army.
He also lauded the strategic guidance of the COAS which has significantly enhanced the quality and relevance of training activities of the Nigerian Army.
The Commander TRADOC NA equally thanked all invited guests, formation commanders, and resource persons for gracing the event while urging them to have purpose-driven engagements to enrich the workshop.
