TRADOC NA HOSTS STRATEGIC COURSES SCHEDULING CONFERENCE FOR NIGERIAN ARMY SCHOOL COMMANDANTS.

The Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), convened a pivotal Courses Scheduling Conference for Commandants of Nigerian Army and Division Training Schools at the TRADOC NA Auditorium in Minna Military Cantonment, Niger State.

The conference aimed to appraise courses conducted in various Nigerian Army Training Schools and Institutions during the current year and make projections and approvals for courses in 2026.

Representing Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe, the Chief of Training, TRADOC NA, Major General Peter Okoye, declared the conference open.

In his opening address, Major General Aligbe emphasized the importance of systemic training evaluation, adherence to standards, and integration of reverse cycle training to enhance night operations.

He also stressed the need to boost combat arms proficiency, physical fitness, weapon handling, swimming, and leadership development to ensure mission success.

The Commander highlighted the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) Command Philosophy, built on professionalism, readiness, administration, and cooperation, aimed at transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-motivated and combat-ready force.

He appreciated the COAS for his support and strategic interventions, particularly in infrastructural upgrades across training institutions.Earlier, Brigadier General Bede Amakor,

Acting Director of Training TRADOC NA, charged attendees to remain focused on elevating the quality of Army training, be attentive, and open during presentations and discussions.

A statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Felicia Daniel, Acting Deputy Director Army public relations, Training and Doctrine command, Nigerian Army said he also encouraged the commandants to align training programs with operational realities and ensure future courses are effective and mission-ready.
