This was contained in a statement signed by the chief press secretary office of the deputy governor Shehu Adamu Gusau issued to newsmen.

His Excellency,Malam Mani Mummuni highlighted that since its inception, the Zamfara NG-CARES Programme has reached hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries across all 14 Local Government Areas, delivering billions of naira in support to the poor, women, elderly persons, people with disabilities, smallholder farmers, and micro-business owners.

According to him, the NG-CARES Programme continues to strengthen local resilience, promote livelihood recovery, and enhance economic inclusion in the State.

The Deputy Governor expressed optimism that as the visiting team engages with various stakeholders — including traditional and religious leaders, civil society organizations, and community-based groups — they will gain deeper insights into the proactive efforts and sustained commitment of the Zamfara State Government towards the success of the NG-CARES Programme.

In his remarks, the National Coordinator of NG-CARES, Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje, conveyed the appreciation of the Federal Government and the World Bank to the Zamfara State Government for its outstanding commitment and consistent investment in the implementation of the NG-CARES Programme since its inception in 2021.
