
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People’s National Assembly of Algeria to deepen parliamentary exchange, strengthen democracy, promote rule of law and enhance legislative cooperation between both countries.
The signed Memorandum of Understanding establishes:Stronger parliamentary ties ,Exchange of official visits & committee collaboration , Support for development programmes , Joint capacity building & knowledge sharing.
Others are Closer coordination in international parliamentary organisations (PAP, APU, IPU), Activation of the Nigeria–Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Creation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee as a formal framework for cooperation
In the course of his visit he is scheduled to meet with: various Algerian Government officials including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Hydrocarbons & Mines and Minister of Energy & Renewable Energies .
Nigeria is strengthening its voice in Africa through strategic parliamentary diplomacy
