SYNERGY: BUK Hosts One-Day Sensitization Workshop for Deans and Directors.

The Career Service Centre of Bayero University Kano has hosted a one-day sensitization workshop aimed at strengthening career guidance, student development, and institutional collaboration.

The workshop, approved by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, brought together Deans, Directors, and career development experts from within and outside the University.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Professor Ahmad Muhammad Tsauni, represented the Vice Chancellor, reaffirming the University Management’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance students’ personal growth and professional readiness.

The keynote address was delivered by Professor Abdulrashid Garba, ICON, FNAE, Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu University of Nigeria (KHAIRUN) and Provost of the College of Education and Allied Studies.

Other distinguished participants included Professor Garba Sa’ad, Director of the Centre for Islamic Civilization and Interfaith Dialogue, Dr. Taufiq Abubakar Hussain, Deans and Directors from various faculties, staff of the Career Service Centre, and representatives of Career Service Centres from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Northwest University Kano, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil, the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, and Maitama Sule Federal University of Education.

Throughout the session, participants shared insights, experiences, and best practices for promoting student growth, employability, and career readiness.

The workshop further strengthened collaboration among institutions dedicated to enhancing students’ professional pathways.

The Career Service Centre expressed optimism that the conversations and partnerships formed during the programme will lead to more impactful engagements in the future.
