Sunday,18 January 2936. The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), had the privilege of spending time with his dedicated team members and hardworking staffs, at an informal engagement tagged “An Evening with Zaria 001.
”The engagement was thoughtfully organized by members of his team as a show of support, synergy,encouragement, and shared responsibility in leadership.
The engagement provided a relaxed but purposeful atmosphere for frank conversations, sincere advice, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
It was designed not just to celebrate leadership, but to strengthen it—by openly identifying areas of progress, acknowledging shortcomings where they exist, and collectively charting a clearer path forward for Zaria Local Government and Kaduna State at large.
Speaking from the heart, Engr. Jaga expressed deep appreciation for the honesty and support shown by participants.
He openly welcomed constructive criticism, accepted genuine observations on areas requiring improvement, and reaffirmed his commitment to correcting mistakes and delivering better outcomes for the people of Zaria.
This openness reflects a leadership style anchored on humility, accountability, and continuous improvement.Importantly, the engagement marks the beginning of a broader citizen-focused interaction framework.
It sets the tone for upcoming gradual town hall meetings and structured public engagements, where community members will have the opportunity to directly interact with the Chairman, share real-life challenges, propose solutions, and jointly define the way forward for sustainable development in Zaria
.A statement signed by Ishaq Galadima the chief press secretary to the Chairman said the engagement was attended by key stakeholders and supporters of Zaria’s progress, including members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, top officials of the local government, party leaders, advisers, and other dedicated members of the community.
