Gov Uba Sani of Kaduna State has performed the groundbreaking of Kaima Smart City in Pmape, Kagarko Local Government Area of the state It was an occasion that marks a significant milestone in Kaduna State’s deliberate journey toward sustainable urban development and broad-based economic growth.
Speaking during the occasion,Gov Uba Sani said that the ceremony did more than inaugurate a construction site; it formally set in motion a transformative project valued at over seven hundred million dollars, strategically conceived as an economic, cultural, and commercial gateway linking our state to the Federal Capital Territory.
He explained that Kaima Smart City stands as a powerful affirmation of growing investor confidence in Kaduna State, inspired by the bold reforms that earned us second place in the 2025 Subnational Ease of Doing Business ranking.
The Governor maintained that this confidence is further reflected in our measurable progress in housing delivery through the Qatar Sanabil Housing Project and the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, which together are providing thousands of affordable homes, creating employment opportunities, and restoring dignity to vulnerable and displaced communities.
According to the Governor,by integrating smart technologies, tourism, commerce, and residential development, Kaima Smart City complements these housing gains and advances our long-term vision of inclusive growth and modern urban living.
He added that “It reflects our conviction that development must be intentional, people-centred, and forward-looking; one that raises living standards, unlocks opportunity, and ensures shared prosperity for all the people of Kaduna State”.
