Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has congratulated Ahmed Mohammed, Chairman of Katsina Football Academy, on his appointment as a Member of the Nigeria Diaspora Athletes Committee.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,the Governor described the appointment as a significant recognition of Mohammed’s contribution to sports development in Katsina State and Nigeria.
The Nigeria Diaspora Athletes Committee, established by the National Sports Commission, aims to connect Nigerian athletes and sports professionals in the diaspora with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Governor Radda praised Ahmed Mohammed for his dedication to developing young footballers and nurturing talent in Katsina State.
“This appointment is a testament to your hard work and commitment to excellence in sports. You have earned this recognition,” the Governor said.
He expressed confidence that Mohammed will use his new position to benefit athletes from Katsina State and across Nigeria.
The Governor charges Ahmed Mohammed with ensuring young athletes have direct access to international professional development, coaching expertise, and global sports networks.
He assured that the state government will continue to support sports infrastructure and talent development to ensure Katsina produces world-class athletes.
