In Kaduna State,the chairman of Zaria local government,Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) attended the Rugby Competition Final organized to celebrate the 2nd Year Anniversary of Rt. Hon. Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, GCON. The thrilling match between Barewa Rugby Team, Kano and Zazzau Selection Team took place at the Polo Field, GRA Zaria, where Barewa Kano emerged victorious.
A statement signed by Abdullahi Abubakar lawal special assistant to the chairman on New Media said the Chairman commended the organizers for promoting youth participation in sports and fostering regional cooperation through athletic competition.
Afterward, he proceeded to the Federal University of Education, Zaria, where he attended a special reception held in honor of SP Nura A. Bakura, the DPO of Zaria City Division. Engr. Jaga congratulated the DPO on his achievements and called his attention to the critical task ahead ensuring peace, security, and community trust within Zaria metropolis.
The Chairman later attended a football competition at Al-Hudahuda Zaria, organized to celebrate the victory of Engr. Isa Haruna Ihamo, the newly elected Member, Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Zaria Kewaye Constituency.
The exciting match between Kamacha FC and Zazzau U-19 ended with Zazzau U-19 lifting the trophy, a victory that Engr. Jaga personally congratulated them for, urging continued sports engagement as a tool for youth development and unity.
Later in the evening, Engr. Jaga returned to his office, where he received a courtesy visit from Teejay Placa Pioneered Support Group. The group appreciated his outstanding leadership and developmental strides across Zaria.
The Chairman also held strategic engagements with individuals and groups, reaffirming his open-door policy and commitment to inclusive governance.
