Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has commissioned the 22-kilometre asphaltic road running from Pambeguwa through Kahuta to Kauru, complete with a three-span water bridge linking Kubau and Kauru Local Government Areas.
Speaking while commissioning the project, the Governor said this project stands as a tangible expression of his administration’s resolve to deliver infrastructure that is purposeful, responsive, and anchored in the lived realities of our people. Its completion affirms a governing philosophy rooted in foresight, accountability, and outcomes that endure.
According to the Governor, since assuming office, the state government have embarked on an ambitious programme of road construction, initiating 140 projects covering more than 1,335 kilometres across Kaduna State’s three senatorial zones.
He explained that this particular road is of exceptional strategic value. It connects Kubau and Kauru Local Government Areas, bridges Zones One and Three, and opens vital access for no fewer than 46 farming communities that, since the 1970s, have endured isolation from markets, healthcare, and educational opportunities. Today, that long wait has ended.
Gov Uba Sani said this road also corrects a legacy of neglect. Kauru is among twelve local governments that had not benefited from a completed road project for over twelve years.
He said “by delivering this critical link, we are advancing fairness in development, reducing travel time and costs, stimulating local commerce, and strengthening agricultural productivity, which remains the lifeblood of our rural economy”.
The Governor said he is particularly encouraged by the voices of traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders who have openly acknowledged that this project represents a clear departure from the past.
“They have described it as evidence of leadership defined by sincerity of purpose, quality execution, and accountability to the people” he said”.
He expressed delight that their confidence reinforces government determination to continue building a Kaduna State where development is deliberate, inclusive, and firmly centred on the dignity and aspirations of every citizen.
