The Dukke Consultative Forum (DCF) has honoured the Chairman of Funtua Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulmutallab Sulaiman Goya, alongside his Deputy, Alhaji Yusuf Muhammad Tukur (Daddy), and other prominent leaders with awards of recognition.
The awards were presented in appreciation of their outstanding contributions to community development, particularly in the areas of provision of potable drinking water, infrastructural development, construction of water channels, support for healthcare and education, renovation of hospitals and schools, especially in Dukke town and Funtua Local Government Area at large.
The award ceremony took place at the premises of Ma’arifil Islamiyya School in Dukke.
The Chairman of Funtua Local Government, who was represented at the event by his Deputy, expressed his deep appreciation to the leadership of the DCF for the honour bestowed on them.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Funtua Local Government administration to continue implementing developmental projects across various sectors to improve the living standards of the people throughout the local government area.
Among those honoured with the award were the Sarkin Maskan Katsina and District Head of Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo; Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua; Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Gardi; Hon. Muhammad Abubakar (Total); Bara’u Yusuf Mai Kwai Dukke; Hajiya Maryam Babajo; the Magajin Dukke; as well as the Chief Imams of the Darika and Izala Juma’at mosques in Dukke.
Other award recipients included Alhaji Yakubu Lado Dan Marke, Alhaji Murtala Fari, Alhaji Hassan Mai Yadi Dukke, Alhaji Yusuf Senior Dukke, Alhaji Lawal Dukke, and several others.
In his address, the Chairman of the Dukke Consultative Forum (DCF), Dr. Saifullahi Umar, PhD, stated that the awards were organized to appreciate the immense contributions of these distinguished leaders in various fields, particularly education, healthcare, and other critical areas of community development.
Dr. Saifullahi Umar also highlighted the history of the establishment of the forum in 1997, outlining its achievements over the years as well as the challenges it faces, especially the issue of inadequate funding.
