Katsina State Governor, Mal Dikko Umaru Radda, hosted a special Iftar with traditional leaders and community title holders from across the state during the holy month of Ramadan at the Government House, Katsina.
The traditional leaders were led by the Special Adviser on Emirate Affairs, Hon. Usman Abba Jaye.
In attendance were 44 District Heads from the Katsina Emirate, 20 District Heads from the Daura Emirate, as well as representatives of the Emirs from the six newly created district areas in the Katsina Emirate.
During the session, special prayers were offered for the progress, economic stability, and overall well-being of the state. Prayers were also offered for improved security across the state, the strengthening of traditional institutions, and greater cooperation and harmony within society during the blessed month.
The District Head of Rimi, Kauran Katsina, Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Abdulkadir, spoke on behalf of the Katsina Emirate, commended the Governor for sustaining close engagement with traditional institutions.
Also speaking on behalf of the Daura Emirate, the Galadiman Daura, Alhaji Ahmed Diddiri Ahmed, conveyed the gratitude and unwavering support of the entire Daura Emirate.
Those in attendance included the Deputy Governor, Hon. Faruk Lawal; the Honourable Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai; members of the State Executive Council; and members of the State House of Assembly, alongside other senior government officials.
