…. Seeks for more support and collaboration
The Acting Provost of the Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE), Colonel Prince Godswill Agbai, has embarked on familiarization visits to key stake holders in both the sister’s security agency and education sector in Kwara State, on Tuesday 24, February 2026.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Tasiu Abdullahi Abbas Acting assistant director army public relations, Nigerian army college of education Ilorin Kwara State said the strategic and courtesy visits included the Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force (HQ NPF) Kwara State Command, the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Kwara State Command, and the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), all located in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The visits highlighted the Provost’s commitment to excellence and his proactive approach to building strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, enhancing academic standards and advancing the College’s mission of delivering quality and sound education and discipline students for promoting peace and national growth.
Delivering his remarks, Colonel Agbai, highlighted the significance of inter-institutional and Para-military collaboration in driving national progress.
He acknowledged the contributions of the Vice Chancellor (VC) UNILORIN, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbowale, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police (CP), CP Adekimi Ojo, and the NCS Area Comptroller, Kwara State Command, DC Najeem Ogundeyi to the College’s development.
The Acting Provost further solicited for more sustained and strong collaboration among institutions, emphasizing that collective efforts are crucial to building a greater Nigeria.
Colonel Agbai, stressed the importance of stakeholder’s unity in achieving shared objectives for the State and the nation at large
.Responding, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, welcomed the Acting Provost of NACOE and expressed appreciation for taking time out of his busy schedule to pay a familiarization visit.
He assured his commitment to continued support for NACOE and to further the existing relationship between the two Institutions.
Relatedly, the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, appreciated the Provost’s initiative to sustain the existing relationship and assured him of maintaining the synergy to improve educational standards within Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
Similarly, the Area Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Kwara State Command, Comptroller DC Najeem Ogundeyi, appreciated the Provost and expressed his willingness to continue partnering with the College.
High points of the visits were, presentation of souvenirs, signing of visitor’s books and group photographs.
