Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has been commended for his timely intervention in resuscitating the services of the state-owned radio station.
In a statement issued by The General Manager of the station, Malam Lawal Attahiru Bakori, expressed satisfaction with the projects carried out by the administration, which have significantly improved the station’s operations.
Malam Lawal Bakori highlighted the completion of the solar power inverter installation at both Katsina and Dutsin-Ma stations, which will enable the radio station to deliver effective services to the people without interruption.
He also appreciated the government’s efforts in completing the wall fencing of the two sub-stations, constructing and installing a befitting gate, and repairing a fleet of unserviceable vehicles,among other services.
The General Manager emphasized that the support from the government is a major boost to broadcast media operations in the state, enabling the station to better serve the community.
He urged staff to work diligently to reciprocate the government’s excellent gesture and appealed to listeners to patronize the station and offer valuable suggestions for improved service delivery.
The revitalization of the state-owned radio station is expected to enhance its role in promoting public awareness, disseminating vital information, and fostering community engagement.
With these improvements, the station which currently runs 18-hour uninterrupted daily transmission is poised to make a significant impact in the state’s media landscape for the betterment of the good people
