The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Military Police (NASMP), Brigadier General Onalo Yakubu, received the Principal of Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC), Zaria, Hajiya Binta Hassan Ganguwa, in a visit aimed at strengthening existing ties between the School and the College.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Uzoma Egwu Ukpai acting assistant director army public relations,Nigerian Army school of military police basawa said the engagement underscored the commitment of both institutions to fostering cordial civil-military relations and promoting security awareness within the academic community.
During discussions, Brigadier General Yakubu emphasized the importance of instilling security consciousness among students, teachers, and staff of the College.
He noted that educating young minds to identify potential threats within their environment remains critical to enhancing safety and national security.
The Commandant further assured the Principal of NASMP’s maximum cooperation and sustained collaboration with FGGC Zaria in support of a safe and conducive learning environment.
In her remarks, Hajiya Binta Hassan Ganguwa expressed appreciation to the Commandant for the warm reception and for reaffirming NASMP’s readiness to partner with the College. She stated that such collaboration would contribute significantly to the successful conduct of the academic year and future engagements.
Highlights of the visit included the planting of economic trees to symbolize a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, conservation, and climate change mitigation, as well as the presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
