The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), continued his developmental engagements across Zaria alongside supervising engineers, inspecting key projects facilitated by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The inspection commenced at Dogarawa Stadium in Sabon Gari Local Government, where plans are underway to upgrade the facility into a modern sporting complex.

The transformation of the stadium is expected to boost youth participation in sports, nurture emerging talents, and provide a healthy avenue for recreation and community bonding.

At the historic Zaria Polo Field, Engr. Jaga and the team assessed renovation and upgrade plans aimed at preserving its heritage while enhancing its functionality to meet modern standards.

This initiative reflects a balanced approach protecting our rich history while promoting economic and sporting activities.

The team also visited Zaria Children’s School, GRA Zaria, where comprehensive renovation plans were reviewed.

Engr. Jaga carried out the official handing over of site at the National Institute for Leather and Science Technology (NILEST) for the construction of male and female hostels.

This project will greatly improve accommodation facilities, enhance student welfare, and strengthen the institution’s capacity to serve learners effectively.

Earlier in the day, on behalf of the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Engr. Jaga presented a cheque of ₦20,000,000 to support the renovation of Abdullahi bn Abbas Masjid, Madarkaci.

In addition, he and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Mal. Illiyas Balarabe, committed to installing a 15KVA solar mini-grid inverter system at the mosque and allocated 20 poles of solar-powered street lights to enhance security and ensure sustainable electricity within the mosque premises.

These interventions will not only improve infrastructure but also strengthen community worship and safety.

The day concluded with a condolence visit to the family of Dr. Khalil M. Kugu in Dutsen Abba Ward. Engr. Jaga extended heartfelt sympathies and prayed for Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength
