The President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, has received the Coordinator AHQ Garrison NAOWA Chapter, Mrs Dorathy Dangana, the Chairperson, NAOWA 7 Division Chapter Mrs Onyinye Unachukwu and the Chairperson, NAOWA 82 Division Chapter, Mrs Hilda Ijeoma Fadairo during separate courtesy visits at the NAOWA National Secretariat, Asokoro, Abuja.
The visits aimed at fostering stronger ties between the national leadership and various chapters as well as reaffirming commitment to the ideals, vision and programmes of the Association.While welcoming the visitors, Mrs Shaibu expressed appreciation for their dedication and proactive leadership at their respective chapters.
She commended their efforts in promoting unity, welfare initiatives and capacity-building programmes for members, noting that such engagements were vital to the overall growth and effectiveness of NAOWA nationwide.
The President NAOWA reiterated the importance of teamwork, inclusiveness and innovation in driving the Association’s objectives, encouraging the chapter leaders to continue to carry their members along and align all activities with the national vision of empowerment, compassion and service to the Nigerian Army community.
She further reassured them of the unwavering support, stressing that the Secretariat remains open to constructive ideas and collaborations that would enhance the impact of NAOWA’s programmes across formations.
Earlier, the visiting coordinator AHQ Garrison Mrs Dorathy Dangana, Chairperson NAOWA 7 Division Chapter and the Chairperson NAOWA 82 Division chapter expressed gratitude to the President for her leadership and warm reception.
They pledged their continued loyalty and commitment to advancing NAOWA’s mission through impactful initiatives tailored to the needs of their members and host communities.
The courtesy visits underscored the shared resolve of NAOWA leadership at all levels to strengthen unity, deepen cooperation and sustain programmes that uplift families within the Nigerian Army community
.A statement signed by Captain Jemila Jimoh LO Naowa said highlights of the visits were the signing of the visitors book, interactive sessions, presentation of souvenirs and a group photographs in front of the secretariat.
