The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its sustained efforts to combat crime and criminality across the State.
On 11th February 2026, at about 2300hrs, information was received from one Joy reporting that her apartment had been burgled by unknown persons who carted away valuable properties.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John,on behalf of the state commissioner of police Baba Mohammad Azare said upon receipt of the report, operatives were immediately mobilized to swing into action.
Through swift intelligence-led investigation and coordinated operations, three suspects were arrested in connection with the crime. The suspects are:
• Samuel Stanley (Male, 14 years)
• Emediong Thompson (Male, 19 years)
• Falalu Hassan (Male, 27 years)
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly admitted to the crime and volunteered useful information that led to the recovery of the following stolen items:
• One industrial sewing machine
• One electric stabilizer/regulator
• One DVD player
• One stainless food pack
• One clothes hanger
The recovered items have been secured as exhibits, while investigation is ongoing. The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
