
The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad Jaga, led a team of supervising engineers from the Federal Ministry of Works on an inspection tour of the Wusasa–Kofar Doka Road project, facilitated by the Rt. Hon. Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, Iyan Zazzau.
The federal delegation was headed by the State Controller of Works, Engr. Loveday, alongside Engr. Sadik Maccido. During the inspection, Chairman Jamil Jaga expressed concern over the quality of work on the section beneath the Wusasa underbridge, noting visible signs of poor asphalt compaction.
He consequently directed an immediate review of the affected section to ensure compliance with approved engineering and durability standards. The construction company handling the project has since agreed to rework the portion to guarantee the required quality.
This decisive action, according to the monitoring team, demonstrates Chairman Jaga’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the delivery of high-quality infrastructural projects across Zaria Local Government Area.
In a related development, the Chairman attended the Janaza prayer of the wife of Dr. Hamisu Kubau’s brother at Danja Jumu’at Mosque, Tudun-Wada, Zaria.
He also paid a courtesy visit to the respected Tijjaniyya scholar, Malam Usman Rigirigi, at his Kusfa Zaria center, ahead of the grand Maulud celebration held last night.
