As part of its continuous drive to strengthen professionalism and operational effectiveness in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) Comnand Philosophy, the Nigerian Army (NA) has conducted a strategic awareness workshop for personnel under 82 Division’s Area of Responsibility.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni acting deputy director army public relations,82 division Nigerian army said the event, held at the 82 Division Auditorium, was designed to deepen understanding of NA policies, their intent, and application in diverse operational environments.
Delivering the keynote address, Major General BA Alabi, Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), represented by Major General Faruk Mijinyawa, emphasized that the workshop was aimed at fostering collective comprehension of NA policies.
He noted that in today’s complex security landscape, military operations must be guided by discipline, adherence to doctrine, respect for human rights, and alignment with national strategic objectives.
The General Officer Commanding 82 Division and Commander Joint Task Force South-East Operation UDO KA, Major General Oluremi Fadairo, described the workshop as timely and strategic.
He stressed that it reinforces the Army’s resolve to uphold standards, enhance professionalism, and align operations with both national policies and global best practices.
He further urged participants to engage actively and approach the sessions with open minds and commitment.
The workshop which was concluded with an interactive session and presentation of souvenirs, underscores the Army’s dedication to continuous learning and operational excellence.
