Speaker of the house of representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas has charged Nigerians to continue to support and cooperate with the Government in the New year.
In his New year message, the Speaker said “As we step boldly into 2026, I join millions of Nigerians in embracing a future filled with renewed hope, resilience, and collective purpose”.
Dr Tajudeen Abbas explained that the year 2025 tested us in many ways – but it also reminded us of who we are: a people of courage, perseverance, and unbreakable spirit.
According to him, despite the challenges, we recorded progress in governance, strengthened our security efforts, and continued the journey toward a better Nigeria.
He also saluted the resilience of Nigerians. stressing that Your patience, faith, and determination remain the true engine of our nation’s progress.
Dr Tajudeen Abbas maintained that ‘’As we begin this new chapter, I urge us all – across faiths, regions, and political lines – to walk together in unity. In every new dawn lies a promise, and in our togetherness lies the power to fulfil it”
He gave assurance that the House of Representatives remains fully committed to enacting people-centered laws that promote inclusion, strengthen our economy, and safeguard the peace and welfare of every Nigerian – fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
While wishing all Nigerians a Happy New Year, the speaker said Let us turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s victories.
