The 56th birthday of His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D, is indeed a golden moment of commemoration of a lifetime of learning, service and sacrifice by a great leader who has touched millions of lives in many positive ways.
At every juncture of his life, Malam Dikko Radda has indeed distinguished himself through uncommon displays of loyalty and trustworthiness, right from an early age — traits which he has carried with him up to his public service career from local, to state, to federal levels.
Since he became Katsina State Governor, he gave these traits a whole new meaning particularly with this insistence on due process and his choice of persons of proven integrity who are also competent and hardworking to help him in the execution of his *Building Your Future Agenda*.
Today, the people of Katsina State can boast of numerous projects, programs and policies that have greatly enhanced their lives in various ways since Malam Dikko Radda assumed office as Governor in May, 2023.
For us in the journalism profession, we mark His Excellency’s 56th birthday in a special way, acknowledging how he has carried us along in his cabinet by appointing some of our members to head various MDAs.
This was why His Excellency became our natural choice as nominee for the Excellence in Leadership Awards when our union (NUJ) marked its 70th Anniversary at a ceremony held in Lagos, earlier in the year.
Our union always remains a repository of competent, honest and hardworking individuals that are always ready to contribute meaningfully to the Dikko Radda administration whenever beckoned to do so.
As His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda marks his 56th year on earth, we wish him many more years of service to his state and country in good health, wisdom and divine guidance.
