The Commander Sector 3 Operation HADINKAI (OPHK) and Multinational Joint Task Force, Major General Suleiman Saidu Tilawan on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 commissioned the newly constructed Headquarters Sector 3 Equipment Support Complex for personnel of the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in Kinnasara Cantonment, Monguno.
This was contained in a statement signed by Lieutenant Ayodeji Abiodun, Acting Assistant Director,Army public relations, HQ sector 3 ophk/MNJTF Monguno issued to newsmen.
Speaking at the event, the Commander Sector 3, Major General Tilawan while emphasizing on the immense and important role that the equipment support play in the ongoing operations, described the project as a major milestone in the ongoing transformation drive.
He further noted that the facility would significantly enhance the capacity of the unit in equipment repairs in the sector and also maintain the tempo.
He expressed appreciation to the Theatre Commander for the prompt facilitation of logistics and resources from Army Headquarters used for the execution of the project.The facility boasts several state-of-the-art amenities.
These include office spaces, parking spaces and garage workshop. The building is expected to enhance the welfare and operational readiness of electrical and mechanical engineers stationed in the barracks.
Highlights of the event were the tour of the facility by the Sector Commander and other senior officers and a group photograph.
