The Katsina State Government held its Security Council meeting of the year 2026, chaired by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, at the Government House in Katsina.
The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies in the state, including representatives of the Nigerian Army, Defence Headquarters, Department of State Services (DSS), the Commissioner of Police, Controller of Immigration, Commanders of the Civil Defence, Customs, Road Safety Corps, NDLEA, and the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe; the Speaker of the House of Assembly; the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari; the Chief Judge of the State; the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; Local Government Chairmen; representatives of traditional rulers; religious leaders; and other community leaders.
Deliberations at the meeting focused on reviewing the improved security situation in the state, strengthening existing strategies, and consolidating gains recorded in the fight against insecurity to ensure continued safety of lives and property, as well as sustained peace and development across Katsina State
