KB Govt. Calls Peaceful Co-existence between Herders and Farmers.

The Kebbi State Government, has urged the Fulani Herders and farmers to live in peace with one another, reminding them of the earlier existing brotherhood between the two groups. The State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, gave the advice when he led a high powered delegation on a sympathy visit to the people of Kanzanna community in Tilli District of Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State, over the recent violent clash between the Fulani and farmers that resulted in loss of many lives and injuries.Senator Umar said, the issue of Fulani and farmers clash is adding to the nationwide problem of insecurity which the State Government is making effort to remedy. He assured that the Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Comrade Nasir Idris, is doing its best to tackle the problem.He commended the local government chairman, district head, and security agencies for their efforts in restoring peace in the area and for their role in resolving the clash between the two groups.The deputy governor prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of those who lost their lives in the incident and grant them eternal rest. He urged the families of the deceased to take the incident as the will of Allah and bear the loss with fortitude during this difficult time.Earlier, the Chairman, Bunza Local Government Area, Hon. Zayyanu Shehu Bunza, expressed gratitude to the state government for its swift intervention, the district head of Tilli, security agencies, and other stakeholders for their support in resolving the issue.In his remarks, the District Head of Tilli, Muhammad Jabbo Umar, commended the state government for its efforts to address insecurity in the state. He emphasized the unity and brotherhood among the fulani and farmers in the area, calling for peaceful coexistence and harmony. He appealed to the state government to deploy more security agencies to the area to enhance safety and security of the people.
