Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing critical infrastructure across all emirates in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa made available to newsmen.
The Governor made this known while receiving the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, and his delegation during a Sallah homage visit at the Government House, Kano.
Represented by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore, Governor Yusuf said his administration remains focused on delivering impactful, people-oriented projects.
He listed key priority areas to include water supply, healthcare, education, rural development, and road infrastructure.
The Governor assured that deliberate measures are being taken to ensure equitable distribution of projects across all emirates.
He added that renewed efforts are underway to address critical challenges, especially access to potable water in underserved communities.
Governor Yusuf also highlighted the importance of traditional institutions in governance.
He described them as vital partners in promoting peace, stability, and effective grassroots engagement.He commended the Emir of Gaya and other traditional rulers for their continued support and cooperation.
In his remarks, the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, praised the state government’s development efforts.He appealed for urgent intervention to address persistent potable water challenges affecting communities within the emirate.
The Emir reaffirmed the emirate’s support for the Kano State Government.
He pledged continued commitment to peace, unity, and overall development.
