The Kaduna State Police Command has put in place robust security measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the State, the Command has deployed tactical commanders, intelligence operatives and other personnel to all nooks and crannies of the State, including Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, markets, highways and other strategic locations to guarantee the safety of residents before, during and after the festivities.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Mansir Hassan on behalf of the state commissioner of police Mohammad Rabiu made iavailable to newsmen.
The Command wishes to reiterate that the use of knockouts, fireworks and other similar explosives remains strictly prohibited. Parents and guardians are strongly advised to warn their children and wards to desist from using such items, as violators will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
Members of the public are equally encouraged to report anyone found using or selling such prohibited items to the nearest Police Station.
Residents are further advised to remain vigilant at all times and promptly report any suspicious movements, persons or objects to security agencies.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, psc, mni, congratulates all Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
He prays that Almighty Allah accepts all acts of worship and grants peace, unity and prosperity to Kaduna State and the nation at large.
He further wishes all residents a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
