Kaduna State Government has offered to renovate some internal roads in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The Managing Director, Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), Dr Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, made this known when he called on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed.
Dr Baba Ahmed told the Vice-Chancellor that they were in the university on the directives of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, the Kaduna State Governor. He said they came to inspect the university roads and see where the government could come in

The Managing Director noted that the Kaduna Government deemed it necessary to support the institution, being a premier university in Northern Nigeria. He assured the Vice-Chancellor that they would commence the project as soon as possible.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, thanked the Managing Director for the visit.The VC appreciated the Governor, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, for his kind support to the university.
He emphasized that the listening ear the governor was giving to the university was something the institution had never received before.According to him,even though the governor did not attend ABU, he had so much respect for the university.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Bello Sabo; and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof Raymond Bako, supported the Vice-Chancellor in receiving the Managing Director and members of his entourage.Others included the Registrar, Rabiu Samaila; and the Bursar, Malam Mohammed Bello Aminu Gurin.
They also included Director, Public Affairs Directorate, Auwalu Umar; and Campus Planner, TPL Abubakar Sani.
