Friday 23 January ,2026 ,marked another impactful day of service, engagement, and community solidarity for the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga).
The day began with an inspection tour of key intervention projects facilitated by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON (Iyan Zazzau).
Leading a team of aides to the Speaker, Engr. Jaga visited strategic locations including the Zaria Education City, Aba Bridge in Wucicciri Ward, Babban-Dodo Mini Stadium, and the Congo Campus Stadium.
These projects are critical to improving educational infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and promoting youth development through sports clear reflections of people-centered governance and purposeful leadership.
In line with strengthening grassroots relationships, the Chairman attended the wedding Fatiha of Hon. Kabir Muhammad Kakeyi, Councillor representing Dambo Ward, held at Unguwar Jaba, Sabon-Gari, Zaria, where prayers were offered for a blessed and enduring union.
Engr. Jaga thereafter proceeded to Kaduna to join the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani, CON, at the wedding Fatiha of Saudatu Isa, daughter of Alhaji Isa Lawal and niece to the Governor, who was joined in marriage to Abbas Umar Waziri a moment that further reflects unity and shared values among leaders.
Upon his return to Zaria, the Chairman attended the naming ceremony (Walimah) of Abdulmalik Ahmad Dudu, celebrating family and community life, and later paid a condolence visit to Sheikh Shuaibu of Tudun-Wada, Gangaren Zaria, over the painful loss of his son standing with the family in prayer and solidarity during their moment of grief.
