The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), was ably represented by the Council Secretary, Alh. Shuaibu Abdullahi (Mai Canter), at the Technical Session of the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) Meeting for February 2026, held at the Senator Uba Sani Conference Hall, Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State.
A statement signed by Abubakar Abdullahi Lawal, special assistant to the chairman on social media, said the meeting was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Maman Lagos, as part of the Ministry’s routine monthly engagements following the disbursement of the Federal Allocation to Kaduna State and the 23 Local Government Councils.
In attendance were key stakeholders, including the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Dr. Mahmud Lawal, the Special Adviser on Local Government, Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi, the Senior Special Assistant, Hon. Usman Lado Dan, as well as the Chairmen of all the 23 Local Government Councils across the state.
Also present were the Deputy Director of Finance and Budget, Directors of the Ministry, and representatives from critical government institutions such as SUBEB, RUWASSA, the Office of the Accountant General, PHCB, the Bureau for Pension, and the Local Government Service Board.
The JAAC technical session plays a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective allocation of resources to local governments.
Through engagements like this, Zaria Local Government remains committed to prudent financial management and strategic planning aimed at improving service delivery and accelerating development across communities.
By actively participating in these sessions, the administration of Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) continues to strengthen collaboration with the Kaduna State Government and other stakeholders to ensure that resources meant for the people translate into meaningful projects, improved infrastructure, and enhanced welfare for the citizens of Zaria.
