
Zamfara Speaker visits communities of Kanwa ward in Zurmi local government area restates state government commitments to overcome security challenges.
The Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki, has reiterated the state government’s commitment to protecting lives and properties.
Speaker Moriki made this known during a sympathy visit to Kanwa Ward of Zurmi west constituency in Zurmi Local Government Area, where bandits had recently ambushed and injured some military personnel.
This was contained in a statement signed by Bello Madaro kurya chief press secretary of the state house of assembly made available to newsmen.
During the visit, the Speaker condemned the attack expressing sympathy with the people of Kanwa Ward and the security personnel affected by the incident.
The Speaker also reiterated the state government’s determination to restore peace and stability across all communities in Zamfara.
According to him more security personnel had been deployed to protect the area from further attacks, saying peace and security is gradually improving in most part of Zamfara State due to proactive measures put in place by the administration of Dauda Lawal.
The Speaker also met with security personnel deployed in the area, who assured him of their commitment to success in their assignment. The visit also highlights the State government efforts to address security challenges and protect citizens’ lives and properties.
The Speaker was received during the visit by Zurmi local government council chairman Alhaji Samaila Hussaini among other officials in the Area.
