…Search For Common Ground Meets in Abuja


The Search For Common Ground pet project “Enhancing Collaboration For Peace and Security ECPS” in the border communities of Kebbi, Kwara and Nigeria states is continuing to work at achieving its mandate of peace building in the targeted communities.

In one of such moves, an important meeting aimed at dissemination of Maturity Index Report from State and Local Peace Architecture Platforms in the targeted states is currently taking place at the Bolton White Hotel in Abuja.

Funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Crisis Support Center, the project aims to key communities on the Nigeria/Benin border into one common peace building and enhancement architecture to promote peace and security for the economic emancipation of vulnerable communities.

Participants from the three states, French embassy officials, stakeholder-agencies as well as officials of the project converged to assess progress and look at areas requiring more work to achieve the mandate.

From Kebbi, a three member team headed by the Chairman of the Search For Common Ground and Commissioner of Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK is participating. The two other members from Kebbi are Hajiya Amina Mohammed Musa of the National Orientation Agency NOA Kebbi state and Malam Abbas Sa’ad from Dandi Local Government.

The one day meeting ends today.
