Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum,has addressed people of the state in a solemn broadcast which is a powerful chord of unity, resilience, and faith .
In the broadcast the Governor called on citizens to remain steadfast amid emerging security concerns across the state and beyond and urged them not to relent in praying and fasting for the continued peace in the state and the country as a whole.
The governor acknowledged the shared anxieties borne out of 15 years of insurgency that thrust Borno into global headlines and displaced millions across all 27 local government areas.
Babagana Zulum also reminded citizens that the darkest days were overcome not by division, but by a united front that rallied behind the armed forces and local security formations to push back the Boko Haram menace.
According to the Governor, the hard-won peace has yielded tangible dividends, including a promising harvest season that is expected to sustain farmers for up to two years.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening agricultural productivity by providing farming inputs and agro-chemicals in support of year-round cultivation and long-term food sufficiency.
