Member House of Reps Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu today donated 5.3 Million Naira and 78 bags of assorted grains to family of the victims of armed banditry attack in Gwargwabe community of Nahuche ward in Bungudu Local Government area.
This was contained in a statement signed by Jekadan Bungudu,Aminu Lawal Bungudu, Chief image maker of the lawmaker issued to newsmen.
It recalled that unidentified suspected armed bandits had on Friday night stormed Gwargwabe village and set ablaze houses and local grain silos.In the deadly attack, nine innocent people were killed among which four were burnt to ashes, six houses burnt, thirty three persons lost their food items and ten others lost their domestic animals.Equally, three persons were injured in the attack.
APC Chairman Bungudu Local Government Hon. Kabiru Dan Kulu led the lawmaker’s delegation to the village and was accompanied by dozens of party stakeholders from both Bungudu and Nahuche wards.
In a speech, Hon. Zannan Bungudu described the attack as cruelty of the highest order and prayed Allah to avert future reoccurrence of such disaster.
He said the perpetrators will surely reap the results of what they did right from this world.
Highlights of how the relief package was distributed showed that, the nine deceased’s family collected 200,000 naira and 3 bags of food items each, those whose houses were burnt benefitted with 200,000 naira and 2 bags of food items each while those who lost their animals got 50,000 naira each.
Those who sustained injuries got 50,000 naira each and those who lost their food items totalling 33 got 50,000 naira and 1 bag of food items each.
