The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru, has led a vibrant rally in support of the Gombe State Blood Donation Campaign, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and promoting voluntary blood donation across the state.
The rally, which attracted health officials, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters, emphasized the life-saving importance of regular blood donation.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Dahiru highlighted that access to safe blood is critical for emergency care, maternal health services, accident victims, surgical procedures, and the treatment of various medical conditions.
“Blood donation is a simple act of kindness that can make the difference between life and death. We are calling on all eligible citizens of Gombe State to become voluntary donors and help us build a sustainable blood bank system,” Dr. Dahiru stated.
He further stated that The Gombe State Government urges individuals, organizations, youth groups, and community associations to support this noble cause and contribute to saving lives
