Governor Yusuf Pledges Continued Support for Social Media Influencers

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has assured his administration’s commitment to continue supporting social media influencers in achieving their professional goals and advancing their careers.

The Governor gave this assurance during a Ramadan Iftar hosted for over 300 influencers across various platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and others, at Government House, Kano on Sunday.

In a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad on Monday, said the administration announced plans to conduct a comprehensive data-mapping exercise of influencers in the state. The governor said this initiative is aimed to provide structured support to help them actualise their professional aspirations.

Governor Yusuf who was represented by the Commissioner of Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, emphasised that the impact of social media in contemporary society cannot be overstated.

He added that the social media influencers’ projections of present administration manifesto during the 2023 electioneering campaign, attracted thousands of electorate to vote for Abba Gida-Gida.

He commended their efforts of sharing activities of Governor Yusuf in different platforms for citizens and others across the globe to vividly see and justify.

In their respective remarks, the Kano APC Youth Leader, Alhaji Salisu Yahya Hotoro, and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Alhaji Salisu Muhammad Gosawa, appreciated the influencers for their dedication.

They further applauded them for associating with Governor Yusuf to join the ruling party for the betterment of the state.
