Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State,has received the remaining 172 worshippers abducted from churches in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing security efforts of Kaduna State and the Federal Government.
A total of 183 victims were successfully released. Eleven of them had earlier received medical treatment in hospital and have since been discharged and reunited with their families.
It will be recalled that Governor Uba Sani visited the Kurmin Wali community on January 19 to commiserate with residents and assured them that every effort would be made to secure the safe return of the abducted worshippers. The latest development reflects the fulfillment of that commitment.
The Governor’s actions underscore his administration’s continued priority on safeguarding lives, strengthening security collaboration, and restoring hope to affected communities.
