Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has remembered former President Muhammadu Buhari on what would have been his birthday, describing his passing as a monumental loss to Katsina, Nigeria and humanity.

The governor said the late president’s departure left a void that remains difficult to fill, noting that his legacy of integrity, discipline, and service continues to inspire millions of Nigerians.

“Today, we remember President Muhammadu Buhari with profound respect and gratitude. Though he is no longer with us, his life and leadership remain indelible markers in Nigeria’s journey toward progress and national cohesion,” Governor Radda stated.

A statement signed by the Governor chief press secretary, Ibrahim kaula Muhammad said he described the late president as a leader who dedicated his entire life to Nigeria’s unity, security, and development.

“President Buhari was not just a leader; he was an institution—a symbol of honesty, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian project.

His passing remains a monumental loss that Nigeria and Katsina State continue to feel deeply,” the governor said.

Governor Radda noted that Katsina State, which produced the former president, takes immense pride in his towering legacy while mourning the void left by his absence.”President Buhari lived a life of service without compromise.

He taught us that leadership is about sacrifice, that power is temporary, and that legacy is built not by accumulation but by impact,” the governor stated.

Governor Radda, on behalf of the government, and the people of Katsina State, prayed for Almighty Allah to continue to grant the late president Aljannat Firdaus and shower His infinite mercy upon his soul.

He urged Nigerians to honour President Buhari’s memory by upholding the values he exemplified—integrity, discipline, patriotism, and commitment to national unity.
